Das Forum BildDruckPapier versteht sich als offene Plattform für alle, die sich für kollektive Bilderwelten, massenwirksame Druckerzeugnisse und die Vielfalt des Luxuspapiers interessieren. Es richtet sich gleichermaßen an private Sammler, Museumskuratoren und akademische Forscher.
Die kommende Jahrestagung wird vom 2. bis 4. Juni 2019 in Antwerpen stattfinden. Als Kooperationspartner fungieren das Rubenianum und die Ruusbroekgenootschap (Universität Antwerpen). Die Tagung steht unter dem Motto "Antwerpen – Bilderfabrik Europas". Dementsprechend werden für die Hauptsektion Vorträge gesucht, die sich mit der Rolle Antwerpens als bedeutendem Zentrum für die Herstellung populärer druckgraphischer Erzeugnisse auseinandersetzen. Mögliche Themen sind zum Beispiel Andachtsbilder, Reproduktionsgraphik, Buchillustrationen, Bilderbogen (Centsprenten), Spielkarten oder Comics. Ebenso willkommen sind Beiträge zur Geschichte des Handels, des Gebrauchs und des Sammelns.
Für die Vorträge - in deutscher oder englischer Sprache - ist eine Länge von 20 Minuten vorgesehen. Bitte senden Sie ein Abstract inkl. CV (max. eine Seite) bis zum 15. Januar 2019 per Email an bild-druck-papier@web.de.

Antwerp as a European print factory. Annual Conference of the Forum BildDruckPapier
In 2019, a conference will be organized by Forum BildDruckPapier (PicturePrintPaper), an international platform for researchers, museum staff members, collectors and other interested parties who are engaged in popular art topics, in particular with popular graphics.
The annual congress will be held next year from 2 to 4 June 2019 in Antwerp, in collaboration with Rubenianum and the Ruusbroecgenootschap (University of Antwerp). The motto for 2019 is: "Antwerp as a European print factory". This expresses the intention that the focus will be on Flanders and especially on Antwerp as a historically important center for the production and dissemination of popular graphics. Contributions can focus on themes such as book illustrations, popular prints, devotionalia, playing cards, comics, etc. Historical contributions on certain publishers, collections, print use and print trade are also welcome.
Duration of a presentation - in English or German - is 20 minutes. Interested paper presenters are requested to send an abstract of no more than one A4 (incl. a short bio) before 15 January 2019 to bild-druck-papier@web.de.
